LFTR – US – Joshua Tree CA

Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree California is a fun and funky desert town where you can be just about anything you want to be. There are a lot of young hipsters and old geriatric hippies. Lot’s of natural fiber clothing and metaphysical stuff.Restaurants with large or only vegetarian option menus. People seem nice, mellow and accepting.

Joshua Tree is in the high desert with beautiful mountain views in all directions. Joshua Tree is named after a plant by the same name.

This is home to the Joshua Tree National park. Some websites say that the Mojave desert of California is the only place in the world where Joshua trees grow. Others say they also grow in Jerusalem. These trees are very slow growing and many of the bigger trees are estimated at over 300 years old. The rock formations are also wonderful and attract rock climbers from all over the world. When I went to the park, there was a couple from Europe coming back from a climb.
