Hi guys,

Did you know that the Mardi Gras did not start in New Orleans?

Do you know that Mardi Gras is a two week event and not just Fat Tuesday?

In my wanderings, I have uncovered some of the best kept secrets to enjoying Mardi Gras without all of the crazy crowds or debauchery.

If you want crowds and debauchery, by all means please come and enjoy – it will be easy to find.

But if you have always wanted to attend the Mardi Gras but was unsure about the craziness of the event, rest assured, I know a bunch of tips and tricks as well as some nice places to stay that won’t break the bank.

Fat Tuesday is late next year, March 5, 2019. By then, we will be in need of more warm and less winter.

This event starts on Thursday Feb 28th until the following Thursday March 7th 2019.

From Bradley International Airport, fly to Pensacola FL, (it’s cheaper and more accessible, that’s why) we will rent a car or two depending on how many people go.

Stay in Gulf Shores Alabama. Small Town, Big Beach!!! Yes Alabama has ocean beaches. Spend the evening chillaxin. It’s a really lovely place. Some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen, were at Gulf Shores.

The next day, March 1st move on to Mobile Alabama the birth place of the Mardi Gras. Yes that’s right, the birth place of the Mardi Gras. We will go to the Carnival Museum. Enjoy some of the parades of Mobile which are just as nice as the parades in New Orleans. Making this stop will give you the backstory to understanding Mardi Gras a little bit better.

We will go to some fun restaurants in the area as well as area attractions like the Bellengrath Gardens, The battleship USS Alabama during the day.

On March 3rd. We will move on to The Big Easy, yup, Nawlins or New Orleans for the uninitiated. We will take in some fun sites and I have chosen a wonderful hotel that will allow you to experience the Mardi Gras without crazy crowds. Pssssttt, it’s where the locals go to get the best throws.

We will take Ash Wednesday to sleep in, recover and relax. Start heading back to FL.
Thursday arrive to take our flight back home.

I have a few other fun things up my sleeves to do and see and mmmmmm taste.

If this is on your bucket list, this will be an awesomely fun week.

The cost will be $2,100.00**

$600.00 deposit required.

**To get this rate, I must book the airfare by the end of July. So book early, otherwise the cost for the trip may, and probably will, go up. AND you may not get the same flight at all if you all want to go together.

This trip includes, lodging, shared car rental, airfare, all breakfasts, 2 dinners, addmission to the Bellengrath Gardens, and the Carnival Museum.

I’m working on some other goodies as well. I’ll keep you posted.

Your price does not include alcohol, additional luggage charges, trip insurance, lunch and dinner except specified in the inclusions.

This is a small group event limited to no more than 8 people including myself.

I encourage you to ask any one who attended the Azores and Portugal trips about how it went. I suspect that you will find that the folks will say that I am very flexible – if we see something, and we want to stop, then we will stop. If there is something that you want to add to the itenerary, then I will see if I can make that happen. That’s the beauty of one of my small group events. You an not structured and regimented.

Additionally, I am confident that if you talk to the folks that attended my other events that you will find my event is a well run, fun and organized event.

Come on, join me! It’ll be a great time!

P.S.
I will be paying for my own trip this will not be a money maker for me.
I work for tips. 🙂
Yes, that was a shameless plug.
